Changing the direction of the PSU fan to make it into intake instead of Exhaust-- Good or bad?

Okie, from my previous thread, in order to keep the nasty dust away from the computer you need to have positive pressure in the case. My Compaq PSU is an 200Watt Steady State power supply and it comes with an gay sized 92MM exhaust fan which is too damn powerful and outblows all my other fan. SO, if I open the PSU, flip the direction of the fan to make it into an intake fan and put filters on it, will it reduce the dust problem. Will it cause overheating problem in the PSU and the System?

Thanks alot!

Not a good idea to switch that particular fan. otherwise you will be blowing hot air from the power supply into the system. Positive pressure is a good thing for preventing dust from getting into the case through open spaces in your case. It however has the following problems IMO:
1) It can lead to turbulence, restricting air circulation
2) High pressure inevitably comes with higher temperatures

these two effects warm the inside of your case.
just watch your temperatures to make sure nothing gets out of control. It is a good thing to have a strong fan on your power supply. Try putting a stronger fan in the front of the case.
