im downloading some videos right now (nike soccer commercials), but somehow, when i installed winamp, i set it as the default media player (video AND audio). i want windows media player to be the default VIDEO player. can anyone quickly show me how to do that?

I have Win 2k and the easy way I do it is. Find the file.
Right-click on it.

Choose the Open With option. When you choose a program to run it.
You should be able to set it as default for that file type.

there is no "open with" option.

someone helped me with this a while ago, and it involved going into the control panel.

im using w98se.

ok with win98.
I could be wrong here. Been a while since I did it.

But I think if open a window explorer.

There should be Folder Options or File Types, under Tools or View. - I am really not sure which one.
But something along those lines.

Now under that you should be able to see
file types and what they open with. From there you can change it.

In Windows 98, if you hold down the Shift key while right clicking, you'll get the "Open With" option
