hey all;

I have an A7V which I just updated with some nice CAS3 PC133 RAM. It is speced so it can go up to 143, CAS2. My problem is that I don't know how to modify it under the A7V.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

In the Asus BIOS, set the memory timings to manual. This would bring up three more options which you can use to set the CAS latency.

Like paulip88 said, go into the BIOS and change the memory timings to manual. I believe it's in the Chip Configuration menu. :)

Thank you all for your help! You guys rock!

useful-1, note that I am a junior member, so thanks for making me feel at home in these forums. And also note that it's kinda funny how they DIDN'T put info like the DIP switch jumper settings in the documentation. I decided to trust the other guys who were kind enough to help me out. After all, it's the users of the mboards that know how the mboards work on a case-by-case basis.

Thanks for your congeniality.

You sure? My manual had documentation on that.
I also always read it cover-to-cover before installing a new motherboard. Keeps me from having to ask silly questions. You should try it, Being a junior member is no excuse for laziness.

With that aside, Welcome to the forums :)

The earlier revisions of the board did not come with a manual that documented that feature. Even earlier versions of the motherboard didn't even have the feature. Obviously they changed their minds about that one.

Agreement with Paulip, the 1.01 motherboard manual did not have the DIP switches outlined as they do now. Thank you for your understanding, and as a diamond member, perhaps you should be aware of variations within the computer realm. But thanks for the invitation!
