Changing tail light in 92 pathfinder

I need to change the brake light in my pathfinder....but from what I can see there is no way to access the bulb. Has anyone done this? if so how did you do it?

owner's manual will usually tell you. there's only two ways. from inside the car there should be a compartment to open. or the whole light assembly will unscrew from the outside..

I bought it used so no owners man,, There is a compartment on the sidewall but you cant get at the bulb from there and when you unscrew the three screw around the light assembly only thing that comes off is the skirting around the assembly.??
