you mean other than the startup folder?

regedit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

What're you trying to change exactly? Startup folder has some stuff, as does the registry entries hkeylocalmachine/user->software>microsoft>windows>currentversion>run and runservices..

same with windows9x though

MrCrapHead- hehe, true but I was in a rush out of the house when I posted this, That's why im following this up soooo late because I just totally forgot about it. Im trying to get rid of some of the crap that starts up when windows starts automatically. Im getting some slow boot problems and I'd like to clear some shiet out. Also, when I hot ctrl-alt-del and I go to task manager there's a bunch of stuff running in the background, versus when Im on 98 and I only have like 4 programs running all the time.
