My desktop is 1024X768 when I go into a game that is 800x600 my monitor does not automatically make the screen fit like i have to move the sliders on my montior(like how wide it is and move it up or down) to make the picture fit is there any way to fix this? because it used to do it automatically

I have this problem in some games (counter-strike) and I don't know how to fix it.

Hopefully someone comes along who can help us 🙂

Set your monitor to the same resolution and refresh (the 800x600@60Hz or whatever the actual in-game setting is)on the desktop and adjust the monitor settings until it's correct. Now you can go back to the 1024x768 setting for your desktop, and when the game setting goes back to 800x600, it should be right.

My monitor seems to "save" different res/refresh rate settings, so if it goes to a screen size/refresh rate I haven't used before, I have to adjust it, but if it goes to something I have used before, it's fine because I've already adjusted it.
