changing registered user in win2k

is there a way to change the registered user of win2k thru regedit...or any other program...or do i have to format and reintall?
 
Well the key is under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion

Look for the entry

RegisteredOwner

Personally I haven't attempted to change that. But I guess it won't hurt to try, just remember to back up your registry first ^^
