Changing product ID in Win2K

Is it possible to change the product ID in Win2K?
I know it can be done in 98 by deleteing it in the registry then on reboot it asks you to re-enter it but I can't find it in the Win2K reg.

TIA.

An explanation as to why i want to do this.
The reason is :

A m8 works in a local computer shop and built 7 machines for a customer then installed the same copy on all 7 thinking he could delete the product ID in the reg like you can in Win98.

He's tried phoning M$ but they where worse than useless and when they couldn't help they put him on hold for an hour.

I've also searched the M$ web site and was unable to come up with anything usefull.
