I have an AMD2600XP, a Shuttle AN35/Ultra mobo, 1gig of PQI PC3200 Turbo ram and a BFG 6800 GT OC and an IBM 90gig hardrive and Windows XP Pro
My friend built this for me for gaming and it works great however
when I had it built I had intended to burn DVD?s so the hardrive is partitioned so that 30 gigs is the primary and 60 gigs is the secondary or storage drive. I have stored a lot of music and pictures but nowhere near 60 gigs. I?ve got about 50gigs I?m not using and it?s not likely I will fill it up anytime soon.
Now Im not going to burn DVD?s and I have filled up the primary drive with games so that now I have no more room. When I?ve tried to install programs like games or Futuremark in the storage part I can install them but when I try to use them I get a message saying it won?t work because of the path or something.
QUESTION: Is there anyway possible to change or remove the partition or barrier
without having to completely wipe everything out and reinstall Windows. My friend who built my computer tells me this is impossible but Id like to get a second opinion.

No it's not impossible. Partition Magic would be able to handle that like a dream. There are probably other applications that can do it to. With a 90 Gig drive if you are using NTFS there isn't any need to have separate partitions beyond sorting your data for neatness. Even todays largest drives could be handled under NTFS as a single partition, though I don't necessarily recommend a 300Gig partition either though. As always though with anything like this make sure to back up any important data!!

Thanks for your quick response. So it is possable to change or remove the partitioning so that it was maybe 60 or 70 gig primary and 20 or 30 gig secondary without reformatting and reinstalling everything?
Is it a program I can buy? Whats NTFS?

Yes you can, however it may require a few steps. PM allows you to resize partitions and move them around on the physical disc as well as merge two adjacent partitions without losing data. However you do have to be careful with it still.
