Changing network setup, question about security

I'm dropping my windows server in favor of extra HDD's in my HTPC and using it as my NAS. During this process I wanted to ask about securing my network.

Current Setup:
-Fiber in line to some sort of fiber box with an ethernet out.
-That out runs to my wireless router (old netgear running gargoyle), this runs in 2.4 and 5 GHZ using un-broadcasted SSID's with WPA2 PSK security
-Connected to that router is a gigabit switch that connects to the wiring going to the various rooms in my house.
-Another gigabit switch is connected to one of those ports running to two different PC's.

Connection setup:
-5 PC's connected to switchs under the wireless router
-multiple phones and tablets connected to wireless router
-Wireless repeater connected to wireless router and broadcasting a "guest" network

One other thing to note, I'm connected to essentially a giant subnet in my neighborhood. My "external" IP address is a 10. and while I can pay for a static, external IP, I don't. Current connection is 100/20 via the fiber.

Thoughts on that setup? It's old at this point and I'm thinking about getting a new AC router, both for the increased range and the few devices we have now that could take advantage of that. Should I change my security setup between the routers? I want to get rid of my repeater but I was having problems before with range. Ideally I would have two networks from the same wifi router, one hidden and set to only accept my main devices (MAC address limited?) and one broadcasting as a guest network with password, but I want that guest network to have limited, or no, access to my NAS. Can I do that from the router or do I need to do permissions on the NAS PC itself?

Thanks!!
