changing multiplier in a7m266.. please help!

Is there a way to change the multiplier in the BIOS? the multiplier section is greyed out.. is there another way of doing it? i have revision 1.03, which i beleive is missing the dip switches.. but i'm not sure.. any info is greatly appreciated.. (slowly but surely becomin a forum whore :) )

Gaucho... this applies to the A7V so it may hold true for the A7M also... dont know though... anyway, the multipliers are controled by jumpers on the board and cannot be changed w/ in the BIOS itself. Look at your manual and see if that is the case. Also, it requires you to short another jumper to actually get the other jumpers that switch multipliers to work...

no, no, and NO! damnit.. :(

the revision i have DOES NOT have the jumpers to change the multiplier.. ARRRGGGG..

i will eithr have to do it through the L6 on the chip or exchange the monitor..

cardr.. everything i have read about the MB has been awsome, and i beleive, but am not sure, that the newer revision (1.04) has the clock multiplier dip switches that mine (rev. 1.03) is lacking. It all really depends on what you want. If your looking to OC, then you can get the same performance of a ddr without the heavy price tax of ddr ram in some pc133 boards.. some of the other threads mention this, as well as anandtech articles..
