Changing Motherboard without Reinstalling Windows XP

Is there anyway to change the motherboard without having to reinstall Windows XP ? my activation seems to have reach is maximum and won't activate online anymore , phoning microsoft every now and then is a hassle

Back then on Win98, there was a way to delete the hardware profiles thru removing registry keys , so on the next boot it'll just redetect all the hardware ^ ^

I don't wanna reinstall WindowsXP , i'll be trying out a few boards ( p35,i975,x38 and etc)

Thanks

Oh boy, we get this question about 1-2x a week it seems. Personally, I use the mergeide.reg method to do what you're trying to do, and it works 99x out of 100. But search this very group in these forums, and you'll find threads and details that explain.
