Is this safe & a good thing to try? Attempting to fix infinite loop on xp>
"This is probably unrelated to a lot of people's problems, but it can't hurt to post it anyway. I was experiencing the same BSOD problems as so many others. After several attempts at tweaking the BIOS, DirectX settings, updating drivers, etc., I gave up and took my system to a computer sales/service store. This small outfit specializes in AMD based systems and sells Epox motherboards, so I figured they might be familiar with the situation. I WAS RIGHT! After testing the memory, and other devices for defects, they concluded my MEMORY WAS UNSTABLE DUE TO UNDERVOLTAGE. A simple jumper setting from 2.5V to 2.7V did the trick. They said it was a common issue with some of the cheaper memory out there. Good Luck! "
Thx,
Ross
