I've been wanting to build a mean black machine with red lighting on it. However, all the accessories out there usually have blue lighting as the only option, that includes fan controllers, case lightings and the like.

My question is...

is there a way to change the led (blue or green) to all red. soldering is okay with me as ive done it multiple times

most of the times yes you can solder.... you will have to be careful when you get red cold cathodes as most of them are pink

Yeah first we had red LED (well if you want to be technical the first LED were IR at room temp!) then orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, and LW UV.

Next trend will be X-Ray LED! Stand in front of your PC while your friend takes a long exposure picture from behind and presto! Radiographs at home.

Ok, yes I'm sick of the blue too.

The stuff is EVERYWHERE.

Meh. Take a red foil and put it around your led. It'll melt right on, but your light'll be purple =-o.

The spectral distribution of light emitting diodes is quite narrow compared to incandescent sources. Therefore you will just wind up with a much dimmer blue light!

www.frozencpu.com Look at the top of the page. Find cables. Then scroll over to lighting, they have several different things to choose from, from cathodes to UV paint, to little memory lights.
