changing irq resources in windows 2000

how do i change the irq's in win 2k? I have a sound card conflict, and when I go to the card's resources tab in device manager, the "change settings" button is blanked out. I tried logging on as administrator, with no sucess. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling, using win 2000 drivers, using latest drivers from the company, but nothing works.
