Changing icons?

For some reason, my .doc files have the ugly wordpad icon. How do I change them to have the somewhat nicer ms word icons?

My Computer > Tools > Folder Options... Go to the File Types tab and find the extension you want to change. When you find it, click on the Advanced... button and then select Change Icon...
