Changing HDs

I now have a 6 GB HD with 5 partions, c to g.
Am getting a 20GB HD to replace the 6 GB drive.

Can I remove the old drive, install the new drive, boot from floppy with fdisk and format. Then, partition the new drive into 5 partions, c to g.
Then, boot from floppy with a Adaptec boot disk which restores mirror images from CDs and restore each CD to its proper partition.

Then boot as usual.

Will this work or is there a better idea to swap hard drives?

Thanks for everyones help.

transfer your old hard drive to the New is boot to DOS Prompt within Windows and use the XCOPY32 command but sometimes there might be a conflict with long file names;

You'll have to adjust the drive letters,

XCOPY32 C:\ D:\ /R /I /C /H /K /E /Y
