Changing from ATI to nVidia

/me fears installing the new card...

So I am upgrading my vanilla radeon 9600 to a GeForce 6600gt. What's the best way to uninstall/install?

uninstall drivers -> power down -> remove card -> add new card -> power up -> install drivers?

Thanks!

Download and install Driver Cleaner. Uninstall ATI drivers. Reboot into safe mode, Run driver cleaner to remove any lingering ATI influence, Shut down. Swap cards, boot up, download and install latest WHQL drivers from nvidia's website and install them. reboot, done.

P.S. Dont forget the extra power connector for the 6600GT.
