Every time I turn around I have to replace our decorative light bulbs. I?m talking about the large 40watt round ones for the bathrooms and the flame shaped ones for the ceiling fans. I use the lowest wattage possible to save on replacement cost and electricity but they still only last a few months. I use Phillips and GE and their both crap.

Doesn?t someone make longer lasting bulbs than you can buy at the grocery/hardware stores or Home Depot?

My dad used to work for Duratest, a commercial lighting company. Their bulbs are more expensive then the store bought brand, but are very high commercial quality, and typically can last for years. Try contacting a commercial lighting company. Most will be happy to help..

Another option is to try a compact flourescent. They have some very small ones these days.
