Changing Drives Letter

I have 3 Hdds and the DVD RWR reader, my first disc has 2 partitions so my letters were C, D, E. F and G, this last one was the DVD.-
As I replaced my boot disk with a new SATA, all the letters changed.-
Using Partition Magic I partially fixed it, but the DVD appears now as E and my last disk as G.-
Partition Magic doesnt recognize the DVD as a disk, but doesnt offer its letter E as available, so I cannot switch letters.- I tried disconnecting the DVD, in order to liberate the letter E, but strangely, the PC freezes at booting.-
Has anybody a solution ?
Thankds

Thanks Schadenfroh, Windows did what Partition Magic couldnt do.-
I am curious about the fact that my PC cannot boot with the DVD disconnected, is that normal ?.-
