As above. Hi guys...was wondering if anyone knows a painless and simple way to change drives letters? i heard u can do it using some program. Recommendations?
Any implications eg. programs wont work ? or windows not being able to boot?

Start > Run > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management > Right click on the drive > change drive letter

(from memory, so I might be a little off towards the end, I am using a limited account right now)

But that won't work with the system or boot drives, those are fixed at whatever they were when you installed the system because there's lots of full paths in the registry referencing those letters.

Changing latter of the boot partition is not recommended extremly. But you can make a backup of your os ( the whole partition with os, True Image allows to make such backups) and then change the letters with Disk Management. After that restore the backup.

why?

partition magic lets you juggle drive letters, dunno about boot though i've never bothered.
