Trying to change hard disk letters or other drives?
Switching around the letters can cause you problems, as programs don't adjust their "thinking". When the program was installed and something was on the C: drive, and it's no longer there, you could have problems.

I used partition magic once to go through every single program and change the drive references and it worked fine. Good luck.

settings --> control panel --> administrative tools --> computer management --> disk management. Right clicking the partitions should bring up a few options, changing drive letters as one of them.

But by all means, read that link omar888 posted as you'll be effectively making any hardcoded program links invalid. Can you said 'PITA'?
