Changing CPU-- what do I need to do...

Hello
I have a 500 MHz celeron processor.
If I want to upgrade to 800 or 900 GHz...
1. will I be able to put in Athlon or Duron?
2. What kind of motherboard upgrades need to be done for either new celeron or AMD?

you cannot upgrade to an AMD with your current board. You may do some research and see what your board will support in terms of intel CPU's. If you want an AMD get a new mobo.
