Changing case feet to wheels

Will it be 'silent friendly' and what do you reccomand?

t73 🙂

Edit: It is for an Antec SX1040

Most wheels are completely plastic. I don't think so. If you found some rubber ones, potentially.

I'll look around and see what I can find.

Rubber wheels are fine on hard surfaces but generally suck on carpet (unless they are pretty large). Plastic are better for carpet. If on carpet, the carpet and pad will isolate most of the noise anyway.

Thanks for the links HC2.

Those wheels look like they'd work fine on The Skyhawk (Sky Hawk) MSR series of cases as they have pre-drilled holes in the 1" square pattern. The ones with the backing plates would work best on that aluminum - might consider using aluminum angle or I all the way across the case to add stiffness.

I had looked around in stores near by and found somthing in between the gray wheel hear, and the Institutional Wheels at the bottom of this page.
Do you think it will work 'silently'? (the case placed on hard flagstone surface).
