changing BOINC client settings?

When I installed BOINC I didn't choose to have it run on startup. Is there a way I can change that setting or do I have to uninstall and reinstall thr program?

Hello FrankyJunior 🙂

I don't see that option on the "Your Account" page and I don't see the option anywhere in the client. Hmmm....

You could put a copy of the shortcut that starts BOINC in the "Startup" folder.

Or wait for advice from someone more familiar with BOINC than I am 😕

Bump 🙂

Put the shortcut in the autostart (non english versions of Win) or the startup folder (in my computer it is
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start-menu\Program\Autostart). That is what the installation procedure does.... 😉

I didn't know if that's all it did anyway or if it did other things as well. I'll just add it to the startup group then.

Thanks.

Well, the installation program also copies the BOINC to the correct folders, writes some registry keys ... 😀

There is also a other option (but do this only if you are very familiar with the registry): you could put the path of the BOINC-program into the run-folder in the registry. But you really have to know what you are doing, because one can really mess up the registry by doing the wrong thing - so take care! 😛
