When viewing pics from my digital camera the pics open in some windows" thingy" I want them to open in Photoshop, how do I change the association.

Right click on the file and go to open with --> choose program. Choose photoshop and make sure the box "ALways open with..." is checked.

Tools -> Folder Options -> File Types.

Find the file type you want and click on "Change"
Select the photoshop executable, click ok.

That too.

you can use the "open with" context menu and pick a new app to open it with. You have the option of selecting that app to be the "designated" app too by checking the "use this program to open next time" box.

Otherwise, just look in your reg for the extension and remap it as necessary, but if you're a n00b to regedit, just stick with #1, it's much easier.

edit: 10 seconds too slow

It must have something to do with the camera. If I view the pics on the camera it opens with "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer". If I put them on the desktop and open them, they open in PS.
