changing AGP from 1x to 2x ?

I believe my board runs 2x, the Gf 3 ti200 I just installed is supposed to be 2x-4x, I got coolbits after uninstalling powerstrip, now It says My bus is at 1x...

How do I get that seting changed back to 2? And does it even matter if it gets changed at all?
 
Do you have the latest BIOS & chipset drivers for your system? Does dxdiag pass all of the AGP tests?
