Meh. Probably an access road or something on a test track.

What's extra fun though is if you have a European car that uses wheel bolts instead of lug nuts. Trying to get the tire lined up is a b*tch and a half without having the lugs to thread it on.

Yep in the time I could put on two wheels on my SRT I put only one on my old Bug.

Mercedes has a threaded rod in the tool kit. Thread the rod into the lug hole and it gets everything lined up for you.

Agreed thought the point of the wheel bolts is to be idiot proof so that you don't have people putting on the lug nuts backwards which happens all too often..

My old RX-7 was like that. But you get used to it after working on it a few times. And I had a nice little halogen globe work light with a nice long coil cord and a magnetic base. Stick it anywhere and you can change a flat in the dark.
