Changin Mobos - Going from MSI Neo2 Platinum to DFI NF4 Ultra-D

Do I need to do a format and clean install of windows? Or can I just uninstall old mobo drivers and install new ones? I am running XP sp 2.

Since they both use the same nForce driver, you should be okay. Update to the latest NF4 standalones before upgrading. They install fine on NF3.

^^ it should be fine, if there is a problem, you will notice right away, like a BSOD before windows boots up. i dont think that will happen

I hate to sound like an annoying idiot, but be sure you have a PCIexpress card .

OK thanks everyone. LOL Pentium guy, yeah I have one on order. Meanwhile i have a pci card for backup.
