thanks for looking. My system was working fine for months before I installed a radeon 7500 POS card/drivers . Now my games are sometimes jerky and 3d mark 2001 will not compleat.

my real question is there a way to see whats stopping my PC from shuting down all the way. I evan reinstalled my operating system (windows XP)

im guessing its the drives for the radeon. (latest drivers)

I also installed the latest IDE/AGP drivers for my ECS motherboard, I checked all BIOS setting also. 🙁 still no good.

thanks for yor advice.

What video card DID you have before you installed the Radeon7500?
Sounds to me like the old card leftsome garbage that still seems to be loading...
