Ok heres the scenario.

I bought this STEP cooler, but they are useless and wont' answer my calls.

Heres how the hs/f is setup on my cpu

CPU-(one of those things that moves heat from one location to another)-Two Large socket heatsinks - two fans on top.

its a p3 slot A chip. So picture it if you can.

the two cpu fans died, so i took them off and Put one big case fan in the middle of both the socket heat sinks. Will this work better, worse, or about the same?

If your running the PIII at default i see no reason why it wouldn't work.

everyone on this board bitches about OCZ and step is hardly mentioned. imo they are as bad as ocz if not worse. they make a lotta claims that are just plain false and if you look at their current crop of hs they are just global win hs rebadged but at a much higher price.

step sux.

sorry that you bought from them.

I'm only overclocking by a little p3 450@527.

It seems stable, I have a fan sucking air out right next to the cpu as well.

STEP SUCKS took a high school kids money! (2 years ago that is)
