Change Ubuntu Screen resolution

If I change virtual from 1152 864 which is the maximum resolution supported that is listed to 1600 1200, which I have been running on this monitor but the new releases of Ubuntu seem to break every time. I think I will stick with the long term releases from now on. BTW its Jaunty.

nobody sane edits xorg.conf by hand today, also it seems that your video card is not recognized, i wonder how you accomplished that. ubuntu comes with out of box support for every intel, ati and nvidia card out there.

I fixed it, again, shouldn't have to do this every time.
