change the hard drive seti uses?

so i just got a new computer, and DLed the seti client and joined team AT (woot?)

my question is this: Is there a way to get seti to use a different hard drive for its data? i have a little 16gb ssd lying around which i wanted it to use instead of my main hard drive. couldn't find any such setting in the preferences though.

i know its not HDD intensive at all, just wondering though.

thanks,
Vivan

Hi & welcome to TA 🙂

I think the only way you could do that would be to change the standard installation path during installation.
With older versions of BOINC where everything was in one folder you could of just moved the folder & altered any shortcuts. Latest versions though split the install (why the hell did they do that anyway??) , so I don't know whether you'd be able to move them.

Nice rig btw 😎, overclocked it?
