Change song on computer with remote?

I thought some of the audigy sound cards came with remotes, but what did those do exactly? Is there anyway to plug in some kind of external peripheral and control a media player through that?

Yes there is. Logitech sells some remotes and if you Google you can find some Software for Remotes. I used to have an old one, but had to abandon it as drivers for WinXP didn't exist. Now a just use a cordless Trackball for my Remote needs.
