change Scanner and Camera Wizard defaults in Windows XP

The Scanner and Camera Wizard in Windows XP defaults to a dpi of 150. I need to have a dpi of 75 in order for the resulting jpgs to work with a 3rd party program. Having to change this every single time is tedious and I was wondering if there was a way to have it default to 75 dpi?

I'm going to bump this old ass thread because I have the same question. In XP the scanner wizard defaults to 200... does anyone know where in the registry this is stored?
