Dear SEGA,

Over the years you've compiled a commendable back catalog of some of the highest quality -- if not the highest quality -- software this industry has ever seen. You have a strong history of serving PC gamers going all the way back to the mid 1990's with Windows releases of classic software such as Panzer Dragoon & Virtua Fighter among others, as well as your prominent online gaming service for the PC platform, Heat.net.

In recent years SEGA has continued to have strong PC support with releases from franchises like Company of Heroes by Relic Entertainment, Total War by The Creative Assembly and Football Manager by Sports Interactive but now, PC gamers petition that you consider releasing more games, particularly from your Japanese division, on the PC platform.

In accordance with this request we are suggesting the following ports:

Bayonetta (PlatinumGames) – Recently Konami and PlatinumGames appear to have found success in their PC port of the critically acclaimed Metal Gear Rising, which debuted on the first day of the Winter Steam sale just behind the million+ selling DayZ. We believe Bayonetta may be a solid fit for porting on the basis that it does share its engine with Metal Gear Rising, this may assist in developing the port and we believe that Metal Gear Rising serves as an example of the platform being able to support action games of this type.

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown (SEGA AM2) - PC lacks a modern 3D fighter but has proven itself able to support the 3D fighting genre's counterpart, the 2D fighter e.g.: continued releases in the genre from Capcom/WB and the success of Skullgirls crowd funding campaign that predominantly relied upon PC gamers. On top of this we are aware that Final Showdown runs on the RingEdge board, which itself is powered by Windows Embedded Standard 2009.

Vanquish (PlatinumGames) - Quite possibly the best third person shooter of all-time and sharing its engine with Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising, which we hope may alleviate some of the porting duties. Vanquish is the title out of these initial three suggestions that may best fit the PC platform due to its historical strength in the shooter genre.

We selected these initial titles on three factors; 1. Do we feel the PC market can support this game? 2. is the port likely to be economical? 3. Do we feel we are asking for too much at once?

While we understand that no porting effort will be particularly easy or necessarily affordable we attempted to select titles that would be easier/cheaper to port versus ones that would be more cost prohibitive. Note that this does not mean we do not wish to see other titles (I stress the terms “initial” and “suggestions”), it is with great regret that under our adopted metric we cannot include other, very popular, requests such as Yakuza,Catherine and Persona as well as less popular requests like Chromehounds, 7th Dragon, SEGA Racing Classic or Hatsune Miku, or even requests that your currently existing PC back-catalog (Virtua Fighter, Panzer Dragoon, Last Bronx, Puyo Pop Fever) be released on modern digital services.

Among those many other requests, outside of the suggested three, special consideration should be paid to the widely requested Valkyria Chronicles, as a PS3 exclusive it's been excluded under factors 2 and 3. Despite the potential for a more expensive and involved porting effort, the PC has a strong history (one which you've had a significant hand in) of strategy titles and we feel Valkyria Chronicles is a natural compliment to your other, strategic, offerings on the PC platform.

Most importantly we want you to note that this is a petition staged not around these three games but around your future as a publisher in the PC space. We're requesting that you port these initial three so that we can demonstrate that the PC market will support this type of content, allowing you to then make a better determination as to which games will best suit your PC audience going forward; as well as allowing you to bring renewed consideration to those other titles if this effort proves successful.

Thank you for your time,

Sincerely PC Gamers.

Vanquish and Bayonetta would make me happy.

I think the kickbacks those execs get from Sony and Microsoft probably outweigh your desire to purchase their games.

Also should say that the PC version should not be a joke - see Sonic Adventure DX PC.
