change order of network ip grab

Can someone remind me how to change the order in which network adapters grab ips? I have a laptop that's slow to log in and I think it's because the wireless adapter is trying to grab an ip first. Since we don't have a ireless netowrk here that's a futile task. I just can't recall where to make the change.

it wont try for a ip if its not connected to any thing, if you don't have a wireless network its not connected to anything and never even gets to that point.

If you're using Windows, disable the wireless NIC in Device Manager. You can always re-enable it when you need it.
