Change my order from 4870 512 to the 1Gb for $25?

I just read the Anandtech review a few hours after finalizing the order for a new build yesterday and it hasn't shipped yet. Should I try first thing when they open to see if I can exchange 512Mb for $291 for 1Gb at $316? I didn't know about this card

It's 5%-15% performance increase for a 9% price increase, but I'm not sure what resolution AT review

I game on a 22" so I assume it is a 1680 x 1050. So will this affect me at all?

What do you guys think? Worth it? Or is the price of the 512Mb is going to drop? If so when?

They have 1680x1050 Benchmark comparisons at the bottom graph, you are looking at 1-5 FPS gain increase

2560x1600 is a resolution where the 1GB is needed but for 1680x1050, I don't see the need.

For that small difference it's a no-brainer. Grab the 1GB 4870 because if you wanted to upgrade your monitor or games in the near future may need more than 512MB even at your 'low' resolution. Enjoy!

I agree with this, but heh, get the 1GB and and buy yourself a larger monitor for x-mas gift.
