Oh, it can be worked around, but it is a pain. The new split window is what I am talking about. In the past a simple cut and paste put the desired link in. Now one has to edit the pasted version to eliminate the "2nd: HTTP:// in order to have a valid link. The alternative is to be more careful and take pains to not copy that from the objective site URL.

It was better the way it was. :)

Cork, it was not better the way it was, it was a security risk.

It was changed to work around people trying to muck with urls. It will not be reverted as security is important.
