Is it possible to change your I.P without subscribing to a new ISP??

I want my I.P to look different on a forum (when it shows up) but I don't know how. I've heard PC hackers are able to mask or randomize their I.P to enter servers they were I.P banned from.


Is this possible?

Haha, QFT. You probably got banned for a good reason.
 
If you're serious about it, do some research. Given your technical background, you'll find the answer within 2 minutes to 2 hours, and (ideally) learn a great deal about IPs and how ISPs assign them. It could be a very informative process.
 
Unfortunately the people who ask for information like this but can't figure it out themselves are often up to no good. If you give us the real reason you want to know, someone might decide to give you a useful answer.

I need another account on a forum to play a game but I'm only limited to one.


I asked the moderators and they said they can't do anything about it (something screwy with the code.) If I mixed up the I.P, I could apply for another name...according to admins at least.


HELP PLEASE!
 
Use a computer at work or school, or a friend's house? There's a relatively easy technical solution, but I don't really want to believe that you haven't considered any real-world possibilities. :/

edit: Wait, it is me. Wow I don't remember that. No, I'm not trying to get unbanned from a server. I don't care too much about that. And honestly, the story I mentioned above is 100% truth.
