Change/deregister AIM screen name?

Is is possible to change or deregister an AIM screen name? If so, how?

I don't think you can deregister a screen name. You can change your screen name though.

So, if I change my screen name, will is automatically update the contact lists of my buddies?

Nope, you'd have to IM them all and tell them your new SN... heh. Getting all the screen names from your old name is pretty easy though (just import/export).

right you can just save your buddy lists as a file then import them. The pain in the butt is getting people to use your new name. you Can just IM everyone or you can link the SN's together so you are logged on as both at the same time.
