Change computer name without disconnecting mapped drives?

I need to change the computer name of all the PCs in my company. If I have drives mapped, it won't allow me to change them without disconnecting them first. Then I have to remap the drives.

Is there a way around this?
 
Just script the drive mapping, through ScriptLogic or something like it. Then you won't have to work much to remap the drives.
 
Well, the mappings are different for almost every person. There's no common mapping scheme.

Also, is the program free?
