Change case from Stacker STC-T01 to Stacker 830?

Curretly have a CM Stacker STC-T01 case and love all of the room I have in it. I'd like to change up my machine and have been thinking about grabbing a new case. I can get a pretty good deal on a Stacker 830.
Looking at the features it looks like the 830 might give me more cooling options than my current case. Not that the Stacker STC-T01 is bad for cooling, but if I change things up I would prefer a case that will offer me the same or even better cooling.

Wondering if anyone has any info or opinions on the 830.

*EDITED*

I thought it was the 2nd stacker case they had come out with....lol I'm probably way off. LOL and yeah stacker II is a diet pill

It's the STC-T01

stacker 830 will run around 200 dollars if im not mistaken.

Add an additional 30-40 dollars, and you can incorporate a watercooling system on the T01 which would blow away the 830 on any config with air.

I think your path is already drawn now. 😛

Need i say more?

I might be able to get it for half of that...

Water cooling has been a thought for sometime now. But I've always thought that it would cost more than that. Damn now you have me thinking...

Yup, the original Stacker (STC-T01) is still one of the best cases for extreme systems. if you need cooling, then just mod one of those 250mm fan kits into that hole on the left side. I generally don't endorse WCing but if you have $$$ to burn...

The standard fans that come the the Stacker are not very strong (something under 30 CFM IIRC). Replace them with Yate Loon SMs on a fan controller for noise reduction if they bother you - that alone will help a lot.

If I had a T01, I'd put the PSU at the bottom, rig the PSU bay at the top as a vent, and put a 250mm fan on the left door and an SM in the 120mm mount on the rear. Couldn't imagine that not being cooling enough.

well you need to do a slight bit of moding. Unless you want to be limited to a 120x2 radiator.

But you need to widen the opening at the bottom so you can flush mount a 120x3. Its not difficult to do if you have a dremel, a nibbler will take time and might cramp your hands.

But

MCR320 44.95
Swiftech MCP655-B 69.95

D-tek Fusion 59.99

Swiftech MCW60-R + MCWG80 Adapter if you have a G80 ~ 80
OR
Swiftech MCW60-R + Enzo Ramsinks. ~55

Masterkleer 7/16ID tubing ~ 15 feet. @ .49 / ft

MCRes-Micro 16.95

EK G1/4 Barbs x 6 @ 2.95 each. You want to replace all the plastic barbs.

Pentioson G11 @ 4.95

Zipties as clamps.

One of these? 250mm fan

^ that is the only one I could find. Plus how would that work if I have the side panel that has a window.

I'm going to grab up some new fans. I actually had that idea before even looking into a new case. There is the 120mm in the rear and a 80mm at the top. I also have two of the hard drive cages, but the 120mm fans on those really don't move much air.

PCExtreme.com and performance-pcs.com have the 250mm fan kits too (and probably other places that don't show up with Froogle). If you have a window on that door, just cut the fan mounting hole right in the middle - location probably doesn't matter as long as it isn't too close to one side of the case or another. Maybe the LED version would look good on the window if you like that sort of thing. Kit comes with a trim ring to cover rough edges... 😉

FWIW, I just got the 830 and will be building it this weekend. I'll report back w/ pics and review in my General Hardware thread, if that helps at all.

Going to order up some new fans for the case and give the large side fan a shot. I figure just modding the case for it will be fun enough to warrant the purchase.

What about new 120x25mm fans for the coolermaster hd cages? They have 120mm fans that act as my intake fans, but they don't seem to move that much air. I'm thinking that something that moves more air would help the air move thru the case better and if I'm going to take things apart, I might as well go all out

If you use the big fan, you shouldn't need any other intake. All the cage fans need to do is insure a light breeze across the drives.
