Chances I can get a BestBuy Credit Card

I have a 780 credit score, but I have no income. My parents established my credit for me using my credit for things they wanted. Two cars were purchased using my name and both of those cars have been paid off. A few times they took out loans from the bank and put them in another bank just to boost my credit. They used it to pay for my school (my credit card) and they used it for gas, groceries, etc. This has all been happening for the course of 6 years. They did a lot of other stuff as well.. purchsing large investments. I trust my parents and they wouldn't screw with my life so please don't get into that. Now I'm on my own so I am having trouble understanding a few things.

So my credit is perfect with no late payments, but the problem is I have no income on my credit report for the last 6 months. I do have $10,000 in savings. I have no loans out right now, but I do have a few credit card payments that my parents still pay off (not much, few hundred dollars).

I'll probably get rejected, right?

Why put anything on credit if you have 10k in savings.. Not a good idea.
The Last thing you want to do is to undo what your parents did for you.. They built a good credit score for you.

Just My take on it..

wow so now thanks to your parents giving you a perfect credit score on a silver spoon, you have no income but 10k in the bank...and you get to drop $$$$ at Best Buy like it ain't no thing

must be nice

PS If you get declined for the card, go to the bank, get a cashier's check for the plasma TV or whatever you're going to buy, and you'll stil have 5k in cash

EDIT: you have NO income...why are you even thinking of getting a credit card at Best Buy right now??? Common sense!

Credit reports do not measure income.

They sometimes list your most recently employer, but that information gets to the credit reporting agencies through applications you submit.

You could apply at best buy, put down any job you can think of, and they won't verify.

A 780 will get you the card, most likely.

Best buy in my observation gives everyone credit. I have a friend with poor credit who got a 2,400 limit from them. Two others has fair credit and still got around 1K. I wouldn't worry to much.

Best Buy tells you immediately whether you get the credit or not, so I don't think they check your employment. It's probably just based on your credit score.

Don't miss any payments! You'll be hit with all the interest that would have accrued during the zero % time.

Eh they only gave me $1,200 credit. I put income $10,000. That was my problem. I should have said $100,000. I canceled it. No T.V for me. I guess if I said $100,000 I would have gotten a $5,000 credit+. Next time.. in 6 months when it is off my credit report.
Oh well, feel like crap getting such a low credit like that, but it's my fault for messing it up.
I was thinking of asking my parents for it and I'd pay them back, but no I like being indepdent and poor with 7-11 combos for lunch and $9 in my pocket.

By the way that $10,000 in my savings isn't mine, It's my parents when they were switching loans back and forth between banks. I guess they forgot about it, but I doubt they did. I was going to get this t.v cause I would have started residency by the time I would have had to of paid anything and I would of been making enough to pay for it.

Update: I'm an idiot. I really wanted that T.V ... :(

I read this, then went to BB's website and signed up for a card. I have been approved and a card will be sent in 1 to 2 weeks. Pretty easy.

If you put $100,000 as your annual income, they would have laughed in your face pizza boy
