Hey all. Looking for a good generator to power my travel trailer to do more dry camping. I know that Honda & Yamaha make great portable inverter generators, but I was wondering if anyone's had experience with Champion. For the price and features, Champion's seem to give the other 2 a run for the money, coming in substantially less for the same wattage. I'm specifically looking at this model:

I like the fact that it has dual fuel and maintenance on it seems pretty low. The brand overall seems to get pretty good reviews, and this one in particular seems to be well rated. Any thoughts?

I've seen Champion around (I think Costco sells them), but I don't know anything about them. I can tell you that in the world of small engines, Honda is king. I've used Briggs, Subaru, Robin, and at least one other I can't remember. The one thing they all had in common was that after the first year they were near impossible to start. Honda's always start.
The only other brand I know anything about is Multiquip, those are heavy duty and worth the premium price they charge for them, and they all run Honda engines.

Agree on the honda engines. Specifically Honda GX line of engines. Go look at a typical power equipment rental place. Nearly every machine will have that red engine and a honda gx badge. A bit more expensive than a typical small engine but worth it IMO.

Most generators are loud. My multiquip roars like a freight train. The only reasonable silent generator I've ever seem are the little 15amp Honda's.

Thanks all. Generators in general are loud and obnoxious, but yea the Honda's are the quietest I've heard. With that being said, I decided to take the chance on the Champion I linked. Price per wattage, dual fuel and overall reviews about the unit and noise were very positive. I should be getting it sometime this week. I'll update the post if anyone's actually interested lol
