Just curious about the quality of Chaintech hardware, specifically video cards.

I haven't owned any of their products before, but I usually see them under cutting their competitor's prices. I usually stick with only a few brands when I build systems for people. (Asus, Abit, eVGA, Gainward, BFG, Crucial, Corsair, Antec, and a few others)

Anyone how any experience with Chaintech's cards?
 
I don't have personal experience with Chaintech cards, but I know they were the OEM for BFG's FX series. They used the same design, same heatsink, and same everything. Only sticker differed. Which model are you looking to buy? You can go to their website and see if they use reference design or not.
 
Was thinking of using a 6600GT in a possible upgrade to my Mother's computer, she inquired about upgrading earlier. Her KT133A&Tbird based system requires a pretty serious overhaul though. I'm spec'ing a A64 2800 based machine for her, was looking at a Chaintech 6600GT AGP for it, once the cost comes down.
