I got a Chaintech ZNF3-150 and a socket 754 3000+ from a guy off these forums. My problem is that whenever I try and boot I get a long beep every 5 seconds.
Starting from the beginning. I tried to put the cpu in and it wouldn't drop in like it normally does, two pins were bent a little and I had to bend them back into place. I then put on the XP-120 which is freaking enormous btw. The heatpipes blocked off dimm slot #1
. I then plugged in the atx power and the 12 volt power, plugged in my 6800gt and a stick of Corsair XMS 3200. I heard two long beeps but then it posted, so I figured it was just because I didnt have anything connected to it. I then plugged everything in (a bunch of ide and sata hard drives, cd/dvd burners, audigy 2 plat) and then tried to boot. I heard nothing but long beeps every 5 seconds. I took everything out, laid the motherboard on an anti-static bag and plugged in just the vid card, power and ram. I still got the beeps. I'm clueless as to what the problem is because from what I've read, long beeps mean memory problems. But I tried my friend's Giel 3200 and I still got the same problem.
