I am building a Word Processor/web browser/ FreeCell Player for my Mother -In-Law.
I have build one system (my own, last month); and used an Abit NFS-7v2 and
popped in an AMD XP 2600+
My plan is to put my 2600+ on either the Asus or Chaintech board. I suspect that the
Chaintech's nForce is better than the Asus' KT600 technology; but I have no
experience with either Brand.
Also since the new computer will likely never be expanded or even opened after I
close it, should I save ten bucks and get the Asus A7V400?
On an almost unrelated note:
My old computer...the one the Little misses brought into the house...I am cleaning and
giving to my niece for Christmas. But I need to make one adjustment. I pulled out
the Modem and want to install an EtherNet card. Her mother already has a hub in the
house.
What cheap but reliable PCI card can I get to that my 6 year old niece can use the
internet?
Oh and since I am still typing I plan on buying the AMD Athlon XP 2800+ to upgrade
my system. Why not right?
