no...if i can make my board work with a pci video card....if its possible to use pci cards in pci-e then yea (im 99.99% sure its not)

huh? shouldn't it be auto-detect? If not.. check around the BIOS. It should have a option that says "Display First" or something like that.

heh...cant get to bios....mobo requires pci-e video card....i was wondering if theres some jumper setting that im skipping over in both the manual and when browsing over the board that would let me use a pci card

Nope. The system will not work with only a PCI video card. I had the same problem. You need a PCI Express card or it won't boot.

Not sure if this is true of all (or most) nforce4 boards or not. If you have a PCI Express card AND a PCI card, it will let you use the PCI card and display from it.

There is no way around it for this board. You MUST have a PCI-E video card in order to get any video at all (this has been confirmed by Chaintech reps on other boards). You CAN use PCI video cards to get dual video, but there is no way to make this board function without a PCI-E card.
