Chaintech VNF4 Ultra Won't POST

I've spent hours researching my problem but still can't get a post. What I have:
Chaintech VNF4 Ultra - Used, bought off ebay, supposedly good
AMD64 3000 - New (sent back to ewiz, tested good)
MSI RX600 - New
Kingston PC3200 512mb - New
Elixir PC3200 512mb - Known good
Antec True 380 - Known good

Everything is out of the case. When I put a case speaker in I get no beeps (I do need a case speaker to hear the beeps, right?) I'm using the 20 pin connector and the 4 pin molex. The cpu fan powers up and the green LED power light keeps flashing. I have nothing plugged in except monitor, ram and video card. I've reseated everything x100. I've tried one stick of ram in different slots. I've taken out the video card. I will try anything...
TIA

man the same thing happened to me and i thought it was my video card...i sent it in for an RMA from BFG so i hope i didnt make a mistake. People on this forum kept telling me it was my PSU which it wasnt. Your PSU is very good too so i know thats not it. Perhaps it is the mobo thought as it is bought off of ebay. You dont need a case speaker to hear the beeps as its already included. I dont even think chaintech mobos beep when it has errors as mine dint do anything.

So your saying your system powers up with the video card inside? Mine will only power up when i take my video card out. Have you tried resetting the CMOS? Any attempts to overclock?

Did you touch the chipset fan in anyway? I believe its held on my thermal tape and touching it could possibly damage it as it breaks the contact with the chipset despite the springs that hold it down. BTW Chaintech SUCKS ASS. I regret buying it so badly. If you cant find the problem, buy Epox. The company is known for overclocking ability on their mobos and its cheap too. I sent my video card in for RMA but perhaps it could be both our mobos....

Well, I can't RMA the mb since I bought it off ebay...but, why do you think it's the mb? While that might be the likely culprit, couldn't it also be the video card? Unfortunately, I live in a small town so is very hard to eliminate each component...I had a computer shop test what they could and they said it was the cpu. They were wrong.

Took it back to tech guy today and he happened to have a pci-express video card but first he said: 'it's the mb'...I said, 'let's see'. He put it in and it beeped and posted. I'm very glad it wasn't the mb...

Let me be the first to say, WHY THE F***K WOULD YOU BUY ANYTHING OTHER THAN TRADING CARDS FROM EBAY?

Unless you payed $10 for that board, you got ripped. ANd to get back on topic, yes RMA the board. 😀

So it's just a bad VC?

Yes, it was just the video card and I've requested rma. And let me say thanks guys, for your unsolicited and condescending advice on buying from ebay. you couldn't help me but you couldn't resist an opportunity to rag on someone. feelingshorter was the only person to even offer anything close to help.
